Two GaN transistors qualified to AEC Q101 for lidar and 48V power
Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) has qualified two new gallium nitride devices to AEC Q101 for automotive Lidar and 48V power designs.

eGaN technology has been in mass production for over eight years, accumulating billions of hours of successful field experience in automotive applications, such as lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) and radar for autonomous cars, 48 V to 12 V DC-DC converters used in data centres, ultra-high fidelity infotainment systems, and high-intensity headlamps for trucks.

The EPC2206 eGaN FET is priced for 500 units at $3.65 each, while the EPC2212 is priced for 1K units at $1.37 each. Both are available for immediate delivery from Digi-Key
