TDK has launched a 600W high voltage DC-DC converter module for data communications, power transmission and renewable energy applications.
The TDK-Lambda PH600A280‑24 DC-DC converter takes a 380V to 425V HVDC (for example from a battery pack) and delivers a 24V, 25A output that can be adjusted from 14.4 to 28.8V.
The half-brick DC-DC converter module measures 61.0 x 12.7 x 57.9mm and has an efficiency of 93 per cent. It operates at full load with -40°C to +85°C baseplate temperatures, derating linearly to 80% load at +100°C. The converters can be conduction cooled making them suitable for use in sealed outdoor enclosures or liquid cooled applications.
This latest model extends the PH-A280 series of 200 to 425Vdc input power modules from 50 to 600W. The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000Vac and is safety certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives.
The PH600A280-24 model is also certified to EN 62477-1 (Over Voltage Category III) for fixed installations with a permanent connection to a distribution panel.
All the PH-A280 modules have a five-year warranty, remote on-off and over-current and over-voltage protection.
