TRUMPower's low profile TPM120 external power adapter is designed for home healthcare applications.

TRUMPower has launched a low profile external power adapter series designed to meet home healthcare safety standards providing power from 96 to 120W.

With a minimum efficiency of 88 per cent at full load, the TPM120 power adapter meets the latest global energy efficiency standards for external supplies with its compliance to CEC Level VI and EU CoC EPS Verson 5 Tier 2 with a no-load power consumption of less than 150mW.

Measuring 175 x 90 x 28mm (6.90 x 3.55 x 1.11in) and enclosed in a 94V-0 rated polycarbonate case, the power adapter has models available for class I and class II requirements with AC inlet options of IEC320/C6, IEC320/C8, IEC320/C14 and IEC320/C18.

Class II models meet IEC 60601-1-11 for home healthcare applications, and both the class I and class II models meet IP54 environmental rating.  The units come in a large range of 9 standard single output voltages between 12 to 48 VDC with outputs ranging between 96 and 120W, model dependent. Standard output connector is a 4 pin DIN plug, mating with Kycon KPJX-4S-S socket or equivalent. Please contact TRUMPower directly to request additional connector and cable options.

The units operate with a wide input range of 90 to 264 VAC and operating temperatures between -20°C to +60°C, while derating linearly from 100 percent load at +40°C to 50% load at +60°C. The power supply is also equipped with standard overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit protections. The units are reliable with 100,000 hours minimum MTBF at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F and support an operating altitude up to 5000 meters. Earth leakage current measures at 150 μA maximum @ 264 VAC, 63 Hz. The power supply can withstand voltages of 4000 VAC from input to output (2 MOPP), 1500 VAC from input to ground (1 MOPP), and 500 VAC from output to ground.
