Wide input 2W and 4W encapsulated modules operate up to 305Vac
The KAS series modules operate continuously from 90 to 305Vac, 47-440Hz, for use with 115V, 230V and 277Vac nominal inputs. Additionally, having a Class II construction, no earth ground connection is required.
The input to output isolation of 3,000Vac makes the series suited as a low power source for a large number of applications, including building automation, security, professional household equipment and systems requiring an additional standby voltage.
The KAS series is available in 8 output voltages; 3.3, 5, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 24V. Off-load power consumption is <0.3W. The encapsulated board mount power supplies are enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated plastic resin fibreglass case for enhanced shock and vibration performance. The 2W and 4W models measure 28.5 x 25.8 x 17 mm and 37 x 27.5 x 17.5 mm respectively. The KAS2 models can operate convection cooled in ambient temperatures of -40 to +80°C, with de-rating above 60°C. The KAS4 operates from -40 to +70°C, with de-rating dependent upon output voltage.
The series has been certified to UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1, is designed to meet IEC/EN 60335-1 and carries the CE mark for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives. All models comply with EN 55032-B (conducted and radiated) emissions and EN 55024 immunity standards with minimal external components.
